When Kennedy Funding began, we were aware of two glaring deficiencies in the lending arena: lack of speed and lack of creativity. And both were the main drawbacks involved when trying to do business with banks or other traditional lending entities. There were simply too many roadblocks thrown up, wrapped in endless streams of red tape, that a quick resolution to a loan was literally out of the question. In fact, it wasn’t at all uncommon for a loan to take weeks or months to finally close.
In terms of creativity, conditions were little better. Those same institutions that that slowed the loan process down to a virtual crawl were either unwilling or unable to deal with loans of a ‘special’ nature – loans which needed some creative application in order to make them work. Sadly, these institutions saw little or no need to become flexible, secure in their belief that they were the only places to go and that, therefore, they called the shots – and everyone listened.
